About GCN
01
Who We Are

One of ASU's leading student-led career organizations

GCN was built on a simple belief: career growth happens faster when you have people willing to help you along the way. Everything we do, from weekly tabling sessions to flagship conferences, is organized by students who remember what it felt like to be new on campus, uncertain about recruiting, or unsure where to begin.

That's why our community has always focused on conversations before numbers. We celebrate attendance, partnerships, and milestones, but we're most proud of the students who return, not because they have to, but because they found mentors, teammates, and friends here. As our community has grown across dozens of majors and 88 countries, that sense of belonging has remained at the center of everything we do.

What We Do

A bridge between ASU talent and global industry

We create opportunities for students to meet professionals, recruiters, founders, alumni, and fellow students through panels, workshops, competitions, and networking events. But we also recognize that every student's journey looks different. Someone preparing for their first internship doesn't need the same guidance as someone recruiting for full-time roles, so we design programming that meets students where they are.

That same mindset carries into our everyday interactions. Whether it's a quick conversation at a Thursday tabling session or a discussion after a panel, we take the time to understand what students are looking for before pointing them toward opportunities. We believe meaningful communities are built one conversation at a time, and that philosophy continues to shape how GCN welcomes every new member.

President's Note

No student should have to navigate their career journey alone.

Keshava Olagappaa Subramanian, President of the Global Career Network

Dear Valued Partner,

My name is Keshava Olagappaa Subramanian, and I have the privilege of serving as the President of the Global Career Network at Arizona State University. Thank you for taking the time to read our proposal.

Moving halfway across the world to study at ASU was exciting, but it also came with uncertainty. Like many students, I arrived with big dreams but very few connections. I soon realized that success isn't just about working hard, it's about having the right people to guide you, encourage you, and open doors you didn't even know existed.

That's why GCN means so much to me.

Our goal is simple: to make sure no student has to navigate their career journey alone. Through networking events, mentorship, employer partnerships, and professional development opportunities, we help students build confidence, meaningful connections, and a path toward their future.

Your support helps us create those opportunities for hundreds of students across ASU. More importantly, it shows students that their ambitions matter and that there are people who believe in their potential.

Thank you for considering partnering with the Global Career Network. We truly appreciate your time and hope you'll join us in making a lasting difference in students' lives.

Warmly,

Keshava Olagappaa Subramanian

Our People

The faces behind GCN at ASU

Our Partners

Organizations that invest in GCN's mission

We meet students where they are.

Some discover us over a free drink outside Starbucks. Others come for a panel, a workshop, or a hackathon. Whatever brings them to GCN, we make sure they leave with more than just an event. They leave with people they'll recognize on campus, conversations they'll remember, and a community they'll keep coming back to!
